Compass Informatics has been shortlisted for Data Project of the Year in the Water Industry Awards for its bioresources operations and compliance platform, Compass BIO. The awards are back for the 13th year running – celebrating and rewarding outstanding achievement and innovation in the UK water industry, with the announcement of winners at a blacktie awards ceremony on May 20th in Birmingham.
Compass BIO is a systems platform that tracks biosolids from plant to field; monitoring characteristics of the biosolids; tracking haulage, stockpiling and spread; integrating with telemetry, lab and weighbridge systems; calculating and guiding on compliance with regulations and best practice; and reporting to operations and finance, and to regulators. Users of Compass BIO include Severn Trent Water, Welsh Water and Southern Water, with other water companies planning adoption of the platform over the coming year.
Compass are delighted to be in the great company of Isle Utilities, Elgin, Morrison Utility Services, Yorkshire Water, Sopra Steria, MWH Treatment, and Northumbrian Water Group in the shortlist of six specific projects. The Water Industry Awards are organised by the people behind the leading business media brands in UK water – Water & Wastewater Treatment, WET News, and linked event Utility Week Live which takes place the day after the Water Awards 2019.
